How to convert HEIC to JPG
Since iOS 11 (2017), iPhones save photos as HEIC by default. It's a great format on the phone — half the file size of JPEG at the same quality — but almost nothing else on the internet knows what to do with it. Windows shows a broken thumbnail, Chrome refuses to display it, and most upload forms reject the extension outright.
Converting to JPG solves this in one step. JPG opens on virtually every device made in the last 25 years, displays in every browser, and is the format every job portal, insurance form, print service, and social platform expects.
Three ways to get your HEICs to JPG
1. This converter (recommended for most people). Drop your files above, pick a quality, hit Convert, download. It runs 100% in your browser — your photos never touch a server — so it works with private photos, sensitive documents, and unlimited batches.
2. On your iPhone. Open Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. New photos will save as JPG, but this doesn't convert the HEICs already in your camera roll.
3. On Mac. Open a HEIC in Preview, then File → Export → Format: JPEG. Fine for one photo at a time; slow for a batch.
What the settings do
Quality — 88% is the sweet spot (indistinguishable from lossless to the eye, big file-size savings). Push higher for archival, lower for web/email attachments.
Max width — resize huge iPhone images down. Handy for uploading to sites that reject files over a certain size.
Keep EXIF — off by default for privacy. On copies camera, date, aperture, ISO, and GPS from the HEIC into the JPG.

JPEG is a lossy format, but at the default 88% quality the difference is invisible. Slide up to 100% for maximum fidelity, down to shrink the file further.
Yes. Drop as many HEIC files as you want, then download them individually or grab them all in a single ZIP.
Off by default for privacy. Toggle Keep EXIF on to copy camera model, date, aperture, ISO, and (if present) GPS from the HEIC into the JPG.
Yes. Any modern mobile browser can pick HEIC files from your phone's gallery and convert them right here — no app install.
No imposed limit. Very large files (over 50MB) may be slow depending on your device's processing power, but the tool itself doesn't cap you.
